Pink Lady

I decided to get the Nintendo DS Lite in pink today. It is so cute. It is charging right now, so I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet. I wanted to get something for myself. I used my Shoppers Optimum Points and only had to pay the tax. Sweet!!!!

Friday is the first day of May and I still have not purchased a new bag for the year. This should be in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Frida Is Sold Out

I went to Shoppers Drug Mart this morning and the bags that were in the glass case were gone. I panicked. I walked around in circles trying to find the bag. There were other bags that were hanging from chairs in the beauty boutique, but my bag was missing. A salesperson asked if she could help me. I described the bag to her. She said that the bag was sold last week. I was heart broken.  I thought about buying the Nintendo DS, but I decided to think about it for a while.

Suede vs. Nintendo DS

Now that I have reached 75,000 points required to get up to $150 off at Shoppers Drug Mart I cannot decide whether I want to get the Suede bag or a Nintendo DS. I have not touched the Suede bag yet. It is behind a glass case and did not want to be tempted. Lately, I have been playing a lot of games on my iPod Touch. The Nintendo DS would be great for travelling long distances.



I think the only reason I want to get the Suede bag is that I still have not purchased a new bag yet and it is almost the end of April. I will make my decision by the end of the month. I will either have a new bag or the Nintendo DS. Either way I will be happy to say to the cashier, "I will be redeeming my Shoppers Optimum Points for this purchase."

Coach Canada Invitation Only Sale

I think my invitation has been lost in the mail.

Coach Canada is having a 25% off sale from May 1 to 10, 2009 at all Coach stores in Canada to celebrate Mother's Day. In order to get the discount you would have received an invitation card which was only sent to select customers that spent over a certain amount. I do not know what that amount is. Obviously I did not spend enough. When I purchased my Coach bag in December, I bought it at Holt Renfrew.

In my opinion anyone who has bought an item should get a discount considering all the drama involved when you make a purchase. I know they have my address.

To rub salt into my wounds, I noticed someone on the subway this afternoon with a LARGE Coach shopping bag.

Journey To Shoppers Drug Mart

I went for a walk today to the Shoppers Drug Mart near my workplace. They have a promotion this week where you receive 15,000 Shoppers Optimum Points when you spend $75 or more on cosmetics. That is a $25 reward. 

I couldn't think of anything that I needed. This location has a beauty boutique that carries brands such as Dior, Smashbox, Benefit, Lancome, Clinique and L'Occitane. For months I have wanted to buy the Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream from L'Occitane, but it was never in stock. I don't know how I got through the winter without it. I could have gone to the L'Occitane store, but I wanted to earn Optimum Points.

I looked around the store and I saw the Suede bags. I have been building up my points for a while to use towards a large purchase. What better idea than to buy a bag with my points. I got the idea when I read the post by Fabulously "Broke"... In the City about Suede bags at Shoppers Drug Mart. I had seen the bags for maybe a year or two, but I had never purchased one. Can't Beat The Price

I love the store Winners because I can't find items at amazing prices. Yesterday I purchased a bag for my trip and a new wallet. I spent a lot less for the bag than I expected. The money I saved can be used to purchase a bag on my vacation. Hopefully, I don't decide to buy another bag before I go. I also bought a new wallet. I got tired of the one that I had.

The bag looks bigger in the picture than in person. I decided to go with black because I am paranoid that my bag will get dirty. All of the other bags that I liked were pastel colours. It is big enough to hold an umbrella, wallet, sunglasses case, guide book, etc...

Mission: Impossible

I was on a mission today to find a bag. At lunch time I went to Winners near my office to try to find a bag. No luck.

Yesterday I saw someone with a Coach bag (in black) that I had only seen once.

I looked and looked, but nothing called my name. When I see a bag that I really like it just calls out to me and says "buy me". London & Paris

In six weeks I will be going on vacation. I can't wait. I will fly to London and spend five days there, then take the train to Paris. I have been to both cities before. I went to London 21 years ago. I don't really remember much. I do remember that I loved the city. I went to Paris in the Fall of 2007. All I can say is - j'aime Paris.

I started to make a list of items to pack. I am very organized and do not want to leave everything until the last minute. I have no idea what the weather will be like, so it is hard to know what clothes to pack. On the top of my list of items to buy is a new bag. In previous post I mentioned that I am looking for a cross body/messenger bag. I am still looking.

I don't want to carry too much. I have to leave room in my suitcase for my purchases. I bought a winter coat in Paris back in 2007. That was an unexpected purchase. It could not fit in my suitcase.

Fashion Don't: Matching Shoes and Handbag

Everyday on the way to work I get a shock to my system. I see women who match their shoes with their handbags, and they are always bright colours. Twice this week I have seen women with red shoes with red bags. I try to have one item that I am wearing that adds a "pop" to my outfit. That is usually a bag or a necklace. If I were into shoes, then that would be another choice. 

As Clinton and Stacy from TLC's What Not To Wear always say, they don't have to match they have to go.  If I tried to match my shoes with my bags, then I would have fewer bags. That cannot happen!!!

April Fool's Day

Today is April 1st and I can't believe that I have not purchased a bag all year. I want a NEW bag...I don't NEED a new bag.

I have not been able to find a bag that I really love. I went to The Bay today not looking for anything specific. Of course I headed straight to the handbag section. I did not know that London Fog sold handbags. I saw two cute bags.
